David Spencer

Before starting his own specialist Business Transfer Agency, David had a successful career in in the Leisure, Hotel & Catering industry working both in the UK and abroad. Prior to taking early retirement he worked in Rotterdam & Venice for P&O co-ordinating the building of the two largest (at that time) cruise ferries in the world for the on board services sector of the build. As part of his role he carried out negotiations both at board and shop floor level which equipped him well for his role in Business Sales

Following the launch of the vessels David accepted early retirement and started TSL Business Sales which was based in David’s home town of Weymouth where he was educated and brought up. He built up his business into a very successful Business Transfer Agency covering the South & South West of England. He prides himself on his knowledge of this region, the local market and the personal service that he can therefore give to each of his clients as individual businesses.

David has now merged his company into Bartle Pye Commercial and is taking responsibility for the Business Sales sector of the company. He will bring with him the knowledge and experience he has gained in his own business over the years and help the Bartle Pye team expand this side of the business.

Selling a business is something which most owners only do once or twice in a lifetime. It is a time consuming and difficult process, one where you need the help of a business broker who is professional enough to achieve the sale but who understands that business owners are human beings as well.
